I had this friend in college and we had this conversation. See he was adopted and had a full green card resident status. Which as he explained pretty much the same as citizenship but he can’t vote and does not get called for jury duty. Doing the final citizenship thing cost some coin which he felt was kinda a lot (went way more expensive since) and he did not feel voting was all that worth it and not being called to jury duty was sorta a bonus. I got it but I argued that voting was pretty important and also that its all well and good now but who knows how well the green card would be respected. It was kinda devils advocate with that as I did not seriously think the us would go that way, but I did point out that historically these things can really be bad. I worry about him. As much as I hate social media I kinda wish linkedin had become a thing while I was in college as it would be a good time to start your professional network.

So block it and once you can’t stop it everyone pretends like they wanted it like that the whole time. classic.
