The whole Republican ideological spectrum? All the way from Asshole to Raging Lunatic Nazi Asshole?

Senator Andy Kim countered accusations that the Democratic party is divided, saying “this is the most united I’ve ever seen the Senate Democrats,”
That’s not a counter. Just because this is the most united he’s seen the Democratic party does not mean that it is united. Divided is the natural state of Democrats. It the words of Will Rogers, “I’m not a member of any organized political party…. I’m a Democrat.”

Idiocracy is really not a good metaphor for current times. In Idiocracy, the president went looking for a solution by finding the actual smartest person that they could find. That is kind of the opposite of the Trump administration. Frankly, as movies go, I think the Running Man might be a little closer. A TV show host with insane levels of power in government, including having the justice department under his thumb, using violent entertainment to keep the masses distracted from the fascist horrors going on around them matches fairly well with modern America.

Every accusation really is a confession for these people. You need to keep that in mind.

Now, she warned, judges would feel empowered to block DOJ’s grand jury investigations.
And what a tragedy that would be, huh.

“When this regime goes down, we are going to have a new Middle East, and we are going to make a tonne of money.” - U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham.

Heh, reminds me of the lyrics from an old Cooper song about over-indulging while touring, From the Inside.
[Verse 2]
You’ve got your kicks from what you saw up there
Eight bucks even buys a folding chair
When I saw him in the eighties it was a bit more than eight bucks, but it was worth it. There’s no way I’d pay current ticket prices to see anyone. I have a much better time going to see small bands playing local bars.

This is their strategy. Whenever the right is doing something vile, they will repeatedly accuse the left of committing the same sort of acts. They will scream long and loud that the left is committing terrorist acts, and with the power of the accusation weakened by overuse, they can simply hand-wave away any similar accusation leveled at them. They’ve been doing this kind of thing for a long time now. “Every accusation is a confession” isn’t just an amusing observation. It’s literally their strategy.

This is a deadly serious country. As in, they will kill you if you fail to live by their hate-filled ideology.

Considering that his walking stick was actually a curtain rod, this is a major issue. There are curtain rods of mass destruction in the vast majority of houses around the world, I should think. They are going to need a lot of hellfire missiles to deal with this emerging threat.

I’m with you. It’d be better than the current system where if they take the bribe they get a position in the Trump administration.
The White House stood behind “border czar” Tom Homan on Monday following reports that he had accepted $50,000 from undercover agents posing as business people during an undercover FBI operation last year, leading to a bribery investigation that was shut down by the Trump administration Justice Department.

Sadly, this is what they want. They want that to happen so MAGAt women can falsely accuse those ftms of assaulting women in the restrooms and mobs of MAGAt men can then attack them and beat them half (or more) to death for using the women’s restroom.

In a statement Friday, DHS said the driver who was killed “intentionally ran over a Homeland Security Investigation special agent,” resulting in another agent firing “defensive shots to protect himself, his fellow agents, and the general public.”
…
HSI officers were assisting South Padre Island police by redirecting traffic through a busy intersection after a vehicle accident with several injuries.
A blue, four-door Ford with a driver and passenger approached the officers, who ordered the driver to stop. The report does not say why. Initially, the driver didn’t respond to commands but did eventually come to a stop, according to the report.
Agents then surrounded the vehicle, telling those inside to get out, but the driver “accelerated forward” and struck an HSI special agent “who wound up on the hood of the vehicle,” the report said. An HSI supervisory special agent standing by the side of the car then fired his weapon multiple times through the open driver’s side window, and the vehicle stopped.
Same story, different murder. To be sure, at least one of the many officers present at the incident had their body cam turned on, right? Right?

Only if the wealthy have their money invested in real estate, right? If they’re invested in stocks and hedge funds and such, then a property tax increase isn’t going to cost them as much as a straight up wealth tax.

Pizza-gaters never actually cared about children. Pizza-gate was never more than a fictionel club to swing at democrats. Now that their own team is being credibly accused of child rape they assume it is a lie as well.
That’s the genius of the GOP. They craft all these lies accusing the Democrats of crimes that Republicans are actively committing. Then when their own crimes come to light, the GOP base assumes that the accusations against the Republicans are also lies and dismiss them without thought.
Every accusation is a confession is literally the GOP modus operandi.

You keep talking as if they are just witnesses to a crime that won’t testify. It is far, far more than that.
Federal authorities blocked the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension from the crime scene. They gatherer evidence from the crime scene while the BCA went to a judge force access to the scene and even got a search warrant. Now they have contaminated the crime scene and are withholding gathered evidence from the local authorities.
Now you consider this in the context of a person doing this. Let’s say you kill someone and claim self defense. When the police show up to investigate the death, your friends block the police from the scene, going so far as to ignore a signed warrant. Your buddies then take all the evidence they collected while the cops were getting their warrant and transport it and you to another state so the cops can’t talk to you or see the evidence. Do you think the cops would consider your buddies guilty of a crime?

This isn’tjust refusing to cooperate. DHS/ICE took evidence from the crime scene and is refusing to turn it over. They also blocked local law enforcement access to the scene. This is at minimum obstruction.

This is really the best answer, I think. Except the agreement you have to sign to take Visa cards used to stipulate that you could not offer a discount for cash.
Visa’s rules have changed in favor of the merchants at last…… Visa has updated their Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules, and the rules changed benefit all business owners in all 50 states ! …Now, you can offer a discount when your customer pays with cash in efforts to incentivize your customers and avoid having to pay credit card processing fees. (Therefore if you sell a product or service for $100, you get to finally keep all $100 of the sale….Not $96.00 )

We have already gotten a taste of what a future with facial recognition on Meta glasses may look like. In 2024, two Harvard students developed a project that allows Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses wearers to identify people’s faces and use public databases to find names, addresses, phone numbers, and relatives.
Yep, and since this is Meta, you may rest assured that they will be harvesting all that facial recognition data along with the wearer’s detailed location data in order to sell a subscription service to ICE, DHS, and law enforcement in general.
I think that the main issue is that the jury pool has finally woken up and realized that the DoJ and police consistently lie to the public and the courts and their testimony cannot be trusted.
