The US has been the main villain ever since they inherited the role from the British. None of this is surprising if you’ve been paying attention.

There are some spectacularly incompetent morons in this administration, but I think even they could figure out that starting a war with Iran wasn’t going to win people over.

At this point, why would they even care about the epstein files? No one’s actually doing anything about it. If pedo’s were getting [redacted] and they were afraid for their lives, this whole “distraction” narrative might make sense, but I have not seen an instance of someone suffering real consequences for being in the files. I would love to be wrong on that bit.

That’s true if you know the code, you can often translate and get some meaning out of it.

I was listening to a podcast about dead internet theory the other day, and they talked about some studies that were finding the the internet in general is near 50% bot activity now. I’m sure twitter is much worse than the average.

Not everything is a distraction from the epstein stuff. The entire US ruling class has wanted to bomb Iran for a long time. It’s the only regional threat to israel, and the USA and israel are two heads of the same monster, and it’s a monster that loves war.

There’s also Lineage OS. I don’t know how good it is, but it supports tons of devices.

My partner gets some similar fancy eggs and loves them, but I have to hide 'em in something. They’ll definitely enhance a fried noodle dish, but if you’re just frying the egg on its own, I’ll pass.

“Crony capitalism” is a term invented by defenders of capitalism so that they can put all the bad parts of capitalism in a separate bucket and say “that’s not real capitalism.” It’s a “no true Scotsman” fallacy.

The article I saw yesterday about this Gen. Zhang Youxia said he was leaking sensitive information to the US. I wonder why Reuters declined to mention this accusation.

It seems like, maybe, with a title like “nobody is safe”, the authors are trying to scare us more than they’re trying to inform us.

It’s also a bit strange that they’re spinning the fact that this guy’s status and personal connections didn’t make him immune as a bad thing. If we were talking about western politics this would be a virtue.

I mean that would be a little bit more plausible, although the article claims the opposite—that the device is super mysterious and the Americans don’t even know how to use it.

It sounds like someone pulled off a sweet scam though, getting “eight figures” for what sounds like a backpack full of cobbled together radio hardware.

No one has blown the whistle on it yet, but I will be 0% surprised if they do.
