I was vaccinated and still got it as a kid. I was hospitalized for it.

I was young so I can’t recall much except I kept accidentally ripping out the iv and eventually they put my arm in a wood box thing to keep me from moving it.

My mom says though that I almost died.

And I was vaccinated. A few people are still vulnerable even with it. It’s why everyone needs to be vaccinated for it to work.

I’m lucky. I didn’t have any long term cognitive or hearing damage. But a lot of kids do.
