Everybody but Trump knew that Iran would close the strait of Hormuz. Which made it incredibly stupid to go to war with Iran. For reasons which are right now self evident, not that they were not evident before.

The Iran War seems likely to be a result of Trump’s fancy though, not a move chosen by Trump’s puppeteers.

Being convicted of insurrection is not a requirement. The only reason Trump was not kept off the ballot was because the Supreme Court intervened, and effectively annulled the 14th amendment.

Jan 6 2020 was an insurrection by Trump.
Ford pardoned Nixon, and Ford lost the next election. And the pardon probably played a part in Ford losing. So the system still sorta worked then, if imperfect.
Checks and balances doesn’t work if one party is in charge of everything.
Nixon could not have been convicted without Republican votes. But Nixon resigned, because he knew Republicans would vote to impeach and convict him. So the system can in theory work, even if the system depends on policing its own.
It is in fact quite normal across democracies, for stuff like this to depend on the votes of the party in power.
The problem here is that Republican representatives are traitors to their oaths. And more importantly, that Republican voters are not demanding their representatives to not be traitors.
So Republican representatives simply know that they only get reelected if they act tribally Republican. Note that this is generally not a problem with Democrat voters.

Have you seen how enthusiastic Trump is when talking about the design of the ballroom? Trump loves real estate more than anything. So I think it is all about the ballroom.
A solid chunk of the 1/3rd to be murdered is voting for their own murder. 46% of Hispanics and 24% of black men voted for Trump in 2024.
They will just round them up and “concentrate” them into camps, while figuring out where to send them. Who knows, maybe some of them will even happen to die while the Republicans try to find a final solution, solving part of the problem that way.
So on one hand people here hate the Democrat leadership (with good reason). But now when this guy is speaking out against the Democrat leadership, you criticize them for internal division?
