  • I understand how crafting and tech trees work, and I’ve played plenty of roguelikes and soulslikes. I’m saying this makes no sense (and I’m sure it’s not the only example):

Early in the game I have to collect rocks and sticks and gold (IIRC) to make a “science machine” (WTF is that?) as a requisite for further crafting.

Seriously, where did this BS come from? And how the hell would I know this necessary recipe without looking it up? It’s like the devs were like “I guess we need a crafting station. Uhh… throw together some rocks and sticks, whatever”.

EDIT: The recipe is apparently shown in-game. But it’s still astonishingly stupid that they didn’t call it a “workbench” or similar like every other game.

For me it’s Don’t Starve. It doesn’t make any goddamn sense. Early in the game I have to collect rocks and sticks and gold (IIRC) to make a “science machine” (WTF is that?) as a requisite for further crafting. And I found out the hard way that my character has to put flowers on their head to avoid dying from insanity. What were the devs smoking?

Came here to recommend LGIO too. Cracks me up, I’ve seen basically every video.

Some of the best stuff these days is actually on the unofficial youtube channel where they repost segments from the twitch streams, esp. when Josh collabs with other folks. There’s this UK streamer, Lollipop or something (I really need to look her up) and she might be even funnier than him. But they’re great together.

Anyway, the chaos is very cathartic for a longtime gamer.

  • Right, but I’m saying those votes didn’t just come out of thin air. The GOP has been tipping the scales to give themselves more and more power for decades, to where it’s now evident they basically own all major US media. They seized control of the senate and representative seats that let them funnel more and more bribes, buy out the media, and control the narrative. Eventually that led to presidential wins.

The average person just wants to get by. They vote for whever convinces them it’ll be less painful, or convinces them that the pain (e.g. restrictions on freedom, austerity, destroying diversity) will somehow be worthwhile.

EDIT: Late fix to a wrong autocompleted word.

  • The “story”, “writing” and “characters” are also painfully bad. Cutscenes arent skippable. You can mute those bland corporate written assholes though.

I only played FH4 but yeah they were pretty awful. The Drift guy was okay though, he was basically like “hey go have fun and show off”. Generic but pleasant enough. Other characters were unlikeable.

Playground Games’ track record is still pretty good and they overtook Turn10 a long time ago.

    ???

These games are made by both Playground and Turn10.

  • I can’t eat jalapeños (intolerance or something) so here are some other good pineapple combos worth trying.

    • Regular sauce, pineapple, feta, optional artichoke
    • Sweeter sauce, pineapple, pepperoni, banana peppers
    • BBQ sauce, pineapple, roasted chicken (or meatballs!), red onion
    • Pesto sauce, pineapple, sausage, and roasted red peppers (my favorite!)
