It’s only getting worse too. The entire US economy is being propped up by AI and crypto. It’s like the sub-prime mortgage craze of the early 2000s. Lots of money going into a system that will never recoup the investment. Either they have to find a way to extract value, or the bottom’s gonna fall out. Just wait for the too big to fail AI and tech bailouts.

What would one call the act of one state sending their militia into another state against their express refusal in order to enforce laws without being under control of and indeed acting against the state’s elected governor? The problem is that AI halucinates and says things that aren’t true with full confidence.

To me, saying “I used AI to answer a question” is no different than saying “I asked my neighbor. He’s pretty smart and knows about these things.” He might be right 95% of the time but his words should not be treated or repeated as facts without independent verificatfon.

Or put another way, if the top result in your Google search is a reddit post, maybe look at some other sites too.

So to this person stating that they used AI, thank you for being honest. Now we know that your info might need a little more analysis if there’s any error or dispute.

I’m not saying that we shouldn’t use AI, it’s an excellent tool. Just saying that we need to be mindful of what LLMs really are.

The only thing I can think of is geolocation for CDNs. Basically to find the geographically closest server based on your location.
