You go to Aldi for the staples to save a ton of money. Supplement elsewhere for other things. I used to live in Chicago and there was a Trader Joe’s on top of an Aldi on the same building (same ownership in believe). It was glorious.

Respectfully, I am incapable of driving and need to get to doctors appointments and no longer live in an urban environment where cabs and public transportation is highly accessible.
It is what it is.
I spend way too much on my smart phone. That’s correctable, but I depend on Uber/Lyft. I think I would need to get a cheap android and just have the discipline to put only essential apps like ride share, maps, encrypted messenging and like nothing else. Not even email, Lemmy, bill pay, grocery delivery, etc
Even with upick, it’s more expensive. The cost per pint of blueberries or strawberries we pick on the local farm is way more expensive than the grocery store. I guess they’re charging us for the experience.
Same thing for apples. $25 for a peck. We went to the store after and the same size bag was 99 cents.

Jewish man here. Our Rabbi left our (mostly) progressive Temple to form his own so he could be a leader in the Jewish space to advocate for Gazans/Palestinian civilians and speak out against the fascist Likuds.
I am so proud of him.
There are many of us, also inside of Israel, that condemn all genocides, including the one in Gaza.

I first started on Mosaic and Lynx! That was a lifetime ago.

I just switched to it on my android. Set as default. So far so good. Never heard of it until today.

The Tankies are already calling him the next Obama

What’s crazy is many had delegates in the table and their home states hadn’t voted yet. This was all right before Super Tuesday they dropped. Normally you stay in and you barter with all the delegates. At least through Super Tuesday.

I’m a fucking Cloud Systems Engineer with 20 years in and at my new job IT wouldn’t give me local admin and wouldn’t approve hardly any software installation requests. Yet if I wanted to I could wipe every single customer’s data and destroy them all. Doesn’t make sense

The man in the high castle that coordinated all the candidates to drop out behind Biden in order to crush Bernie says this huh

So she lost by 9 points it looking like. This is a deeply red district that Trump won by 22 points not even a year ago.
This marks a 13 point shift to the Dems in a deeply red district. All those battleground districts could swing even more. This type of swing would put the Senate in play.
This is alarm bell territory for the Republicans. I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic because the Democrats have formidable skills at screwing things up.

Can someone help me understand? It honestly sounds like he really did it but very well could get off on a technicality which to me is fine. I’ve had so many loved ones kicked off health care during terminal diseases and I despise for-profit model of the industry.
But it really seems like he did it, yet I see so many people questioning that. I’m just curious why that is.

Yeah, Trump ran to theeft of Hillary on multiple fronts. I knew he was full of shit but I remember pointing out said positions and watching all the polls across swing districts everywhere just surge to the right that summer of '16

I stopped listening to him after his stance on Ukraine. You could listen to his rhetoric on how the imperialist US invaded Vietnam and did horrible things there, but replace the US with Russia and Vietnam with Ukraine and it’s the same. But some how many leftists only care about some, but not all genocides.
That being said, everyone is innocent until proven guilty so I’ll withhold my judgement for now. Anyone who did any child raping just be villified and punished regardless of their politics.

Lemmy kind of reminds me of Fidonet
I appreciate him but MySpace definitely did collect data. Props to him for his photographer career and doing his own thing though
I’ve been to Venezuela twice for some extended stays. First time when Chavez was still around. Second time when Maduro was a couple years in office. I can still remember listening to his radio addresses. I remember feeling the heat off the asphalt in the city, the crazy traffic, the beautiful beaches.
Looking down from the hills onto the canopy below and seeing fireworks at midnight Christmas Eve into Christmas. I knew id never be back as it was dangerous AF then (2013 last time).
We would say it was once a beautiful country but now it’s just a beautiful land.
