… so the US is constantly getting ripped off by trade deals, but somehow is still the richest country the world has ever known… make it make sense…

I always thought this country valued freedom… nobody “MUST” do anything relating to culture.

I know this is just semantics, but is it really “beyond earth’s orbit”? If the moon orbits the earth, then isn’t the moon still in earth’s orbit?

It just doesn’t feel as exciting as it should be. It feels more like a distraction from everything else. With all the cuts to NASA’s budget, I’m just waiting for them to cancel the whole Artemis program…

Most mass shootings are done with a rifle, which is a bit more difficult to conceal. And yeah if everything goes to plan for the shooter and they keep it concealed then it would only be a matter of seconds, but there’s always a chance that cops, given the opportunity for guns to be something to be on the lookout for, will be able to step in sooner.

If open carry is legal then any psycho could commit mass murder at any second, and no cops or anybody could do anything until after they start opening fire. On the other hand, if it is illegal then cops could step in at the first sight of a gun.

An EMERGENCY ad campaign at that. Labeling it as an emergency allowed them to skip the bidding process and just give it straight to her friends.

Is this a declaration of civil war? We all know their use of the term “terrorist organizations” is bullshit, so they are really just saying that they are going to start killing US citizens without due process on American soil. This general needs to be court martialed. He is not upholding his oath to the constitution.

Informing people of the constitution is a violation of the constitution?

The problem is it was only “discussed” instead of “railed against”. Then the Citizens United ruling came around, and the country was lost to the oligarchs.

Its all the Russian propaganda being used by conservative pundits. They convinced republican voters that Ukraine is the bad guy somehow…

When’s the next special election? My guess is they won’t open back up until they can get another pedophile protector in there.
The anti-war statement is directed at the psychopaths doing the bombing. Showing them how people are suffering after being bombed doesn’t affect them. Its an attempt to show them how they might regret their own decisions. At the very least it might chip away at the people who support them.
The people who make movies about depressed soldiers are usually trying to make an anti-war statement. American is not homogenous. There are people who bomb without remorse and people who try to point that we shouldn’t do that. Bombing without remorse is not something that can only be tied to one country. It can be tied to psychopaths of which quite a few have weaseled their way into power.
I think I agree with you, but your messaging could use some work. I feel like most people who aren’t already in the same groups as you might struggle with the terms you use. It might be simpler to say “capitalism corrupts democracy” because my original read of the post made it seem like its anti democracy.
I struggle to find the points in your posts. Yes capitalism has a great many problems. I agree about doing something about it, but are you also suggesting democracy is bad?
I made no assumptions. If Bernie ran as an independent in 2016 he would have had a split vote with Hillary allowing Trump to win still. Most voters might not be loyal to a party, but enough of them are. Any third party will have to split their vote with one of the other two which will give the win to the party that doesn’t split. Its not naive, its how things work. I wish we could have a third party, which is why I support ranked-choice. We currently don’t have ranked-choice, so any third party will just hand the win to the worst party. I’m all for potential third parties to run in the primaries, but then they can’t be independents. Definitely no third parties in the general though.
There is no such thing as a viable third party in a two party system. Until our elections require 50 percent to win or have ranked-choice there will only ever be two parties. At best you could hope to replace one of the top two, but you would have to see a complete collapse in their support first. After seeing a significant portion still supporting the current admin, I don’t think complete collapse for either party will ever happen.
I thought I remember reading that she wanted some kind of promotion, maybe a cabinet postition or something but was passed over, so she left that group of grifters to start her own.
