Can these things hit 100 or 1000 swarming micro drones? I really don’t know, but would bet that it’s got a limited amount of tracking and fire-rate. At say $1000 per drone including a couple pounds of high explosive charge, I doubt a single one of these can guard any zone.

It’ll take a crazy number as a pipeline would be easily damaged by a VERY small (consumer size) drone.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•learning to play an instrument on your own, but how/what?
3·2 months agoI played a brass instrument for 9 years and was good enough that I could’ve probably made a career of it, but it’d have been a struggle for sure.
I’ve dabbled in guitar for close to 30 years now and highly suggest that it’s a better instrument, especially for solo play than anything that is going to make single tones. Chords of any type allow for much richer music when you’re alone.
I did have a parent that made me take a year of piano lessons as my first instrument, but I quit that for the brass. I do wish I had kept after piano/keyboard as it’s much more versatile.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Im dating myself but on the show NYPD Blue they showed the top part of Dennis Franz ass. In hingsight seems kinda mild but what was the huge uproar about back then?
2·2 months agoEven today, on broadcast TV you won’t see swearing or nudity because of prudish views. Cable is a little more lax, and “extra-cable” or streaming like HBO or Cinemax were even more lax.
The more you had to seek it out the less likely anyone was going to clutch their pearls over something.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Seems like Trump waited for winter to escalate his ICE agenda but why did he go after Minnesota? People who are completely acclimated to frigid weather.
0·3 months agoThe Governor of MN was also Harris’s running mate and Trump wants to punish that.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•At this point, should we form an alternative government of the United States as a micronation?
0·3 months agoAgain I ask… where exactly? Inside the USA your micro nation is going to have to either follow all the laws of the local, regional and national governments, or be prepared to defend it by force.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•At this point, should we form an alternative government of the United States as a micronation?
0·3 months agoUh… where exactly? There’s not a lot of land that isn’t claimed by someone already and unless you’re willing to hold whatever new nation you’re trying to form by force, you’ll have a hard time. Trying to do that in the middle of the Gobi Dessert probably only requires a few million in weapons, but water is gonna be hard to come by. Trying it inside the USA is gonna be pretty tough. I’ll suggest buying an island for a couple billion, spend another couple billion on infrastructure and then just a kinda lay-low government, where you don’t officially claim independence, but also don’t really follow the laws you don’t like (see Epstein island for more details).
Were these “incredibly nuanced infographics” written with crayons?

Bad? I’m pretty sure you mean horrified, embarrassed and worn thin from fighting morons.
