God I hate Wonderful Christmastime. It’s the laziest, most cynical cash-in on a Christmas song. It goes nowhere. Aaargh.

Hell yes!

I don’t think there was a Kid Rock/Pamela Anderson sex tape.
And the Tommy Lee sex tape was stolen and leaked without either Pamela or Tommy’s permission. When Pamela tried to sue the distributor the judge basically said “Well you posed topless for Playboy before, so this sex tape is hardly going to further damage your career”. Massively misogynistic and it really messed her life up.
No, they have not.
From an article on a recent boycott of the group at an Australian music festival:
Organisers of protests across the country have called for a boycott of the duo, with activist group Stop War On Palestine in particular alleging:
1. That they have publicly supported “every major assault on Gaza in recent years - including Israel’s current genocidal war.”
2. The cover of their 2023 single, ‘Dance Forever’, "featured an Israeli flag blanketing all of historic Palestine.”
3. One half of the duo, Amit Duvdevani’s claims that supporters of Palestine are “brainwashed”.
4. A regular collaborator Skazi’s comments that his fans should “dance on the ruins of Gaza”.
5. Continued donations by the duo to the Tel Aviv Foundation, which has ties to the IDF, along with Tribe of Nova, whose co-founder launched an intelligence platform that supplies intelligence to the Israeli military.
Links to sources for those points are in the article.

Hawxx are fucking excellent. I fully recommend catching them live if you can.

This is a sentence I never imagined I’d read.

If you like a bit of humour in your grindcore, I’d recommend Excrementory Grindfuckers.
They’re pretty fun live.

Linehan is difficult to gauge, because he’s always worked with other people. I have the sense though that he’s always been like this.
Yeah, disallow it. It’s stolen pap that only makes the unethical corporations richer.

Sure! off the top of my head:
The HIRS Collective: electronic, grindcore, hardcore punk
Circuit Preacher: electronic/industrial
King Yosef: hardcore punk/industrial/hip hop
Youth Code: electronic-industrial
Violencia: hardcore punk

Thanks! I’m looking forward to going through these.

I’ve been really into Street Sects lately. Can you recommend me anything similar?

Gonna have to put on Witchita Lineman again now 🥲
I mean when you set up an argument like that, what’s the response? “No! you’re wrong!”
A lot of people think he’s an incredible guitarist. A lot of highly-regarded guitarists think he’s an incredible guitarist. I know these are appeals to authority, but just because he’s not in your top 5/10/100 doesn’t mean he’s not one of the best.

Yep I’m in the same boat. Loved the music but Billy’s not someone I’d want to be in the same room as. He’s not getting any more of my money.
I’ve got a used copy of Siamese Dream, and I’m only considering buying used copies of the other formative albums.

I think he’s always been this way. I don’t think any of his former bandmembers have much that’s nice to say about him.
Sascha sounds like such a fun person to be around /s
