You can install them wherever you want.

What special apps are you using to view it?
If your router is provided by your ISP then its like for their usage

I know why, its this one really cool trick for increasing shareholder value. Give it another quarter and that line will be going up up up!

This is awesome! I’m now using the swarm to control my living room lights.
I would consider nuclear winter a pretty big change in climate.
Although patrolling the mojavi might make you wish for one…

Once ventoy became a thing i stopped needing optical media. The last one i burned was most likely a linux distro.
I do remember the last bluray i burned was a bunch of roms for Mame and other emulator to mail someone. I think i burned all of maybe 4 bluray discs with that burner, it seemed like a good thing to get when i built the pc in 2010,but i almost never used it.

The corporate entity that now owns lime wire, didnt they also previousLy do a bunch of NFT nonsense?
What a joke
Article also uses the term “limewire torrent”… 🤦♂️

The proper way to do it is connect your router to the vpn, most routers have support for it these days.
If you want to do it the harder way, connect one machine to your vpn provide on one wg network and create a second wg network for your local devices which routes all traffic (not just http) through the one device thats connected to your VPN provider. Basically make youe own home vpn server and connect to that.
Using just squid for http to relay the vpn in addition to being fragile and breaking sometimes is also just not really giving you the full vpn coverage, your ip is going to be leaking all over the place.

Im not sure if this is the same thing but i noticed a similar problem in vivaldi but its specific to youtube, or at least it doesnt affect peertube the same way. It seems to be based on the volume of the video, my guess its a “feature” that tries to normalize volume between different videos, but ive never figured out how to disable it.

Thats how he got the idea

I wonder if they would allow a vote on when their CEO will die.

My funkwhale server is thriving.

GrapheneOS doesnt have FRP due to it being exclusively a google service (it requires signing in to the previously used google account that was used before the reset)
Afaik there isnt any equivalent service available to GOS, although it probably could be technically possible.

Owner profile for main use, shelter w play services for apps that need them.
I also keep a Duress pin enabled which i have written down inside the phones case, so if Anyone “finds” my phone and tries to unlock it they will just end up wiping it.

I dont find needing to knowing how to use the most common way of setting up servicss is gate keepy.
If you dont want to learn things then it probably is better to just pay someone else to handle the setup i dont think there is anything wrong with doing it that way either.

Fair point, if the majority of your browisng is social media or phone apps i dont think you are the target audicence for this.
I know google hates it because even before the manifest v3 stuff it was banned by them, its probably a not insignificant part of WHY they forced the move to manifest v3.
With how anyltics work, just like with adblocking in general its a constant cat and mouse game, and that in itself also costs the advertisers money in having to keep up with the anti-advertising methods.

Did you know there is a browser extension that does this for you while also blocking ads from view?

Let me tell you about my friend adnauseam
Even better then just harassment, it actively wastes advertiser money by messing with their click-through stats. The more people that run it the less valuable advertising online in general becomes.
Also i would say to a leaser degree Adblocking in general is why people arent more active about fighting back, since they work its enough for most folks to just avoid the problem rather then confront it head on.
This kind of stuff is inevitable with capitalism, in their continuing effort to make human workers obsolete and save money it makes perfect sense to replace static paper displays with digital ones. I would assume the only reason they didn’t do it any soon is the up front costs.
Dynamic pricing is of course a real concern, but its not like you can’t do dynamic pricing with paper labels, it just takes more effort (and so the prices will probably reflect that as they change). It’s neat how we call it “dynamic pricing” now. but like when it happens in other places its called Hyperinflation, are there still some people foolish enough to think “dynamic” means it could go down also?
