At my last company they got rid of the CEO because of some thing she was doing. They have a big meeting to tell us and introduce the guy that’s replacing her… The guy who got hired a year ago, spent who knows how much on some “fleet management” software. Software that we never used because we all objected to installing the app on our personal phones that wanted to track our location and have all sorts of other crazy permissions. Dude just failed up to CEO

That was the first thing I tried, didn’t work unfortunately. Even pulled out the batteries and replaced them.

Interesting, Im starting to think it might just be the hardware. It was sitting unused for a year or two. I’m gonna see if I can find a windows PC to plug it into just to see if it is indeed the hardware. I already tried it on every port and on my other PC running bazzite but had the same thing happen.

I tried every USB port, they all detect when the dongle is plugged in but solaar just displays a blank window. I even tried it on my other Linux PC and it had the exact same thing happen . I also had a second dongle so I plugged it in to time rule that the dongle was broken.

I honestly don’t know much about terminal, how could I go about doing that? I’m pretty sure this is exactly my problem. I had stumbled on this Reddit thread when looking for a solution. But someone here pointed out that the link lsd_ninja provided was for MAC so I thought I must’ve been on the wrong track. I know I have to copy the file from the GitHub. I just don’t know how to get to the location where it goes.

Yes I did, even tried a different PC which is why I think It might be the hardware. I might see if my buddy from work can plug it into his windows PC to see if it works. That way I can definitely know if it’s a hardware issue.

Yea I remember reading about that. The thing that’s baffling to me is that he painted the gold parts white. Covering shit in gold paint has been his whole thing since like the 80s. If he painted the whole thing gold it wouldn’t be quite as confusing to me.

Not even the unifying receiver seems to show up in solaar. When I plug it in I get a notification saying Logitech unifying receiver has been plugged in on my task bar. But then I open solaar and it’s just a blank window. I also tried it on my other PC that’s running bazzite and it’s the exact same thing. I also had 2 unifying receivers and I tried them both just to rule out a broken dongle.

They were talking about in on NPR today. Apparently the front of the building previously had gold columns and he had them painted over white when he renamed it, absolutely baffling. Maybe it didn’t look cheap enough.
