I’m not sure if it helps but the Tulsa Collective are usually seen as good community builders, they might have some resources on their websites or social media.

Did you read the whole comment?
This isn’t an inherent flaw of man. Economic conditions are getting worse for most people (western pov) and women rights have been scapegoated for it.
Naturally, men who don’t know better will turn on women for this reason and when left isolated in their own groups they will reinforce their bubble.
People can be incredibly decent, but under the wrong social/economic context act incredibly inappropriately.

To be fair, as a man who naturally interacts with other men, most guys when left to their own groups become very toxic/sexist in the long run.
This isn’t any inherent flaw of men, it’s a natural outcome of the influence social media puts on men through algorithms.

Makes a lot of sense. If I (an urban dweller) moved to the middle of nowhere and have to help build up all infrastructure while attempting to (barely) survive, I’d be pretty depressed.

In short, yes
Most games on steam are drm-free or have a very weak DRM which is easily removed. Not great, but not the worst.
Lootboxes kinda suck, but at least they only use them for cosmetic items, it’s not pay2win, more like pay2lookgood.
About the child gambling… Pretty awful, but I think the ones who should bear most of the blame should be the parents. I have younger family members (not my kids) and their parents couldn’t give less of a shit about ensuring they only have access to age appropriate content. Steam has parental controls implemented, USE THEM. Starting to think that allowing kids to access these features (when parental control is available) should be considered some kind of negligence.
To be fair those are cosmetic only items. I’ve played a ton of those games and didn’t spend s dime, because I don’t care about how cool my gun looks.

The male loneliness epidemic isn’t only about the lack of romantic relationships.
It’s about a generalized lack of connection between men and other people, a lack of community where they can find support when times get tough and where they can find meaning by helping others.
I’m not too savy on the social context in the far west, but I’d wager that although there was a lack of women the relationships between men would be very strong. Since the environment is hostile to human presence (lack of water, infrastructure, no large settlement or very far apart at least in the beginning) men would need to rely on others for help very often.
I know literally nothing about him, what has he done?
I just heard this song for the first time yesterday. This feels like a glitch in the matrix 🥴
Thank you for your service 🫡
I feel like the definition I use for state might be somewhat different than most around here, as I would consider an administration as a state.
Even without class struggle, crimes and abused would still occur how can a copless society (with millions of members) resolve this issues? Local militias? Wouldn’t those be the “police”?
Curious to hear from you
Thank you for sharing
I’ll be honest, I don’t know enough about Cuba to know whether or not it deserves the label. I’ve seen first accounts of events supporting both views, that Cuba is on path to a society exempt from exploitation and that it’s ruled by an oppressive elite that uses the aesthetic of Marxism to fool the population.
If you have any suggestions on how to learn more I’d appreciate it.
And yes “authoritarianism” is reductive of all interactions in a political system, we agree on that
I agree with you and don’t feel it contradicts the opinion that “authoritarian” is more than a mere tool against communists
Either way, and as I’ve said in another comment, this feels mostly like discussing semantics, but I’m enjoying the civilised conversation
I don’t agree with equating the behaviour of fascist states and AES.
Yes both wield authority, but one’s authority is backed by a small number of people with access to great power and resources, while other’s authority is legitimised by the will of the majority
I believe that difference is critical in differentiating the two
I’m not sure I agree with your view.
Words are commonly misused but they still have meanings. In a society where the will of the majority is ignored in favour of the will of the few I think most people would agree it’s an authoritarian society, it’s usually not that black and white but every society is closer or further from authoritarian
Thank you for the references
I find it interesting the way you put it
What would a stateless society look like in your opinion? Are there any practical examples?
