Wunderbar! Welcome to Lemmy and the Fediverse! _

Yes, but Minecraft was on sale for a year before it ever went into “Beta,” back before it was in Alpha even. In fact, it wasn’t until one of the last Alpha updates that the earliest semblance of “Minecraft” as we know it really began to appear. The Beta updates added a lot of core features we take for granted in the game, like beds for sleeping, tall grass for seeds, redstone repeaters, pistons, sprinting, hunger, etc.

No in this case it’s called the hug of death.

Watch the end result be you can’t find random chests in Minecraft dungeons or Terraria caves cause it falls under the category of “lootbox” in games…
(May seem hyperbolic, but we are talking about 70 year old boomers trying to make regulations for video games. I’m not sure I have the most positive view of the potential outcome)

I hope this wasn’t used as an excuse to disqualify the game so they wouldn’t have to give it an award… Cause if it turns out it was, that would look really bad…

As does Proton VPN.

Brave Search also returns results for it just fine as well. Which makes sense given they run with their own indexing now (with fallbacks to Google and Bing only when requested).

If you’re going for a similar Fedora-like experience, with it being a rolling release that is still stable, then OpenSuse Tumbleweed is definitely you’re best bet.
Now, if the rolling release nature is something you’re less attached to, then some good options would be Pop!_OS (especially if you have an Nvidia card), another Ubuntu-spin like Kubuntu perhaps or even KDE Neon, and maybe Debian 12. Though for the last one, although it’s a fantastic distro, it looks nice, new, and shiny now, but in 6-12 months when you’re not even half way through the Debian upgrade cycle and still on old software, will that bother you? If the answer is yes, then look elsewhere. Otherwise, Debian 12 may be a good choice for you as well.
There’s Kitten Space Agency. It’s basically the spiritual successor to KSP, just with Kittens instead (and also perhaps a bit more realism than KSP?)
