Nah, journalists shouldn’t wrestle the pig. But they seriously need to step up their game. They still haven’t figured out how to handle Trump and MAGA. That is embarrassing.

Because he did one thing right. He didn’t build a traditional investor base, he built a cult.

It gives a ton of people one more argument to deny the facts.

It’s also an emotional thing. It “vindicates” everybody who has been saying that nobody should trust these government reports. Either the new government has “fixed” the lies. Or the new government “also” lies. Either way, it muddies the water.

I assume he gave that response a bunch of times. In isolation it may not mean much. But even if it’s just a single drop, the drops keep adding up. 🍿
