hello :)

Recently played the DSi Ware version. Can recommend it!

Chris Fitzpatrick would not approve.
One of the first paid ones was Crazy Machines a puzzle game where you have to solve rube goldberg machines, i must have been around 8. I only know about this now because I have only recently dusted off the old PC I was playing on. Its fun, I like that they always added a small backstory to every puzzle. The puzzles I have created were no real puzzles and I have just built what I felt like building. Definitely worth it (the newer ones not so much.)

Or for left handed people… 🤔

Coworker of mine told me about “The Invariant Right” –the concept of shoppers going always right, so you might be onto something. It could however all be made up as well.

For me at least it’s the simplicity. Not that I understand everything going on inside of it, but I could and knowledge is often times readily available.
Another point i could think of is that the feature set is often times more manageable, you are more in control of what it does or does not.
Yea, you are probably right. Just wanted to ask before I hand it down myself, in case I missed some really cool use case for it.
My Jellyfin is also very basic with everything pre transcoded as I don’t even have/need >1080p.
So it just looks like a window on my main PC and this way I have ram on my new PC
This sounds really cool. Does that actually work, did you do a comparison? I would have expected that most RAM usage comes from rendering the frame and not sending it, or does waypipe somehow outsource that as well?

Love Cryptpad, but am I the only one for whom the loading indicator gives a bad flashback to early js framework web development where every website was 16 times the initial load time, 4 times the overall size and just more buggy. Website SPA or not have rarely a good reason to have a loading indicator for the initial load the browser already does that.

oof, found it. It is so weird seemingly every job listing for a software developer has the requirement of using AI nowadays. ITS NOT A SKILL, ITS MANDATORY TRAINING WHEELS. They will find worse programmers doing so, good ones can use AI if it makes sense you don’t have to force it.

Was there another incident besides the 2026 sales promo image? I was a bit disappointing of their “response” if you can could call it that. But I don’t really see this as “pushing AI”, as far as I can tell this might just be an intern who was given the task to make a promo image and did not care at all.
This is what reading on there feels like with 90% (on mobile, unironically) screen space used up for ads.

Dropping this here as well, really cool tool.
Do not play Minecraft, but I am so glad they broke free last year or so as well.

I feel like cinny feels the most like discord.

Biggest number I could find is 46 Million MAOs in 2017 not sure how much truth is to that, as these came directly from Blizzard which probably had some Investors to appease. Hard to convert that to peak counts.

I do wonder what the peak of Overwatch Legacy was. Don’t find anything credible on the web, seems like they only publicized MAOs

Oh, I have never heard of that. Also forgot that he was still around when OW2 launched. Still believe it sucks big time to see a project go down this route especially after being such a big success. It might not be dead, but it definitely is just a shell of its past.

Overwatch is close to being a decade old btw.
It’s so unfortunate what they did to Overwatch, wonder how Jeff Kaplan and the original Team feels about all that.

Oh right… I forgot about that, must have had an actual democratic system in mind :/
Yea, the gems were buried really deep. Had a DSi and only got points worth 15€ back than and wasted most of it on shovel ware :/ My younger self just did not know whats good. I did however got Photo Dojo and WarioWare: Snapped! which are small but fun in the end I spent most of the time on Flipnote Studio (Free) anyways :). I am now revisiting the ones Ive missed. Did you know that the SteamWorld Series hat its debut on the DSi eShop!?!? I was really surprised by that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SteamWorld_Tower_Defense
