And frankly I can see that. Sometimes people just won’t let up and they’ll start trying to dominate somebody in a discussion. So I decided to do it myself lol

Given your level of justified vitrol, I’m surprised you’re associating with these people volunteerily at all. I’ve got family I’ll never talk to again because I don’t want to have any time to Nazis. Most of them are dead to me, so missing funerals won’t even be a thing.
Partner’s family, and they’re not all terrible. Got a handful of deplorables, a few well meaning Romney republicans who I think are seeing the light some, and a few progressives.
I certainly can’t force my partner to cut off their family. The only time I really would start doing that is if they can’t behave themselves in front of my kids.
