Lol too funny - the last two days I have been very openly telling people that I am tired of coddling conservatives and we need to just start bullying them. Had a family member talking about RFK Jr and how he (allegedly) wants to clean up school lunches the other day, so I immediately reminded them how they treated Michelle Obama like shit for attempting the same thing. Then they started complaining some more saying we eat crap blah blah, so I showed them how musk and his fuck bois gutted over a billion from the USDA that was bringing local farm produce and meat to schools in our region. Then they started talking about how France has such great food and I said it’s because France, like a lot of Western Europe, has an insane level of regulation keeping companies from putting sawdust and other crap in their food. frankly I was being relentless and it felt good. If they’re going to espouse their bullshit, I’m going to respond.
I just don’t give a shit anymore. I present the information, they whine, I tell them they’re wrong and selfish and being shitty. I’m tired of “agree to disagree“ bullshit. They didn’t do that for us, and look how that worked out for them. It’s high time we bully the shit out of conservatives and remind them their ideas and morals are bad and they should feel bad. We let them brand themselves as the political equivalent of punk rock and that was a mistake. They are lame ass buzzkills who will gladly sacrifice anybody they don’t associate with to make a quick buck. These are the people who wouldn’t stop complaining about rap for 20 years. The people responsible for the satanic panic.
That isn’t even bullying! That is just pointing out how fucking wrong and hypocritical they are about every little thing.
The bullying is that I just wasn’t letting off the gas at all. In “polite Society“ you’re expected to not press on stuff like this, especially in a group, or it’s considered bullying. And frankly I can see that. Sometimes people just won’t let up and they’ll start trying to dominate somebody in a discussion. So I decided to do it myself lol
I was admittedly also acting a little smug and shitty the whole time
Keep it up.
Got a trip with extended family coming. Already cracking my knuckles dude. Can’t wait to remind them how at Christmas I guaranteed them musk wouldn’t make it to the summer
Given your level of justified vitrol, I’m surprised you’re associating with these people volunteerily at all. I’ve got family I’ll never talk to again because I don’t want to have any time to Nazis. Most of them are dead to me, so missing funerals won’t even be a thing.
Partner’s family, and they’re not all terrible. Got a handful of deplorables, a few well meaning Romney republicans who I think are seeing the light some, and a few progressives.
I certainly can’t force my partner to cut off their family. The only time I really would start doing that is if they can’t behave themselves in front of my kids.
This. Don’t let them talk, if they want to make themselves sheep then you need to shepherd them, at least long enough to get them thinking for themselves again
The only thing I won’t debate is the 2020 election. The moment people call it into question explicitly say “Trump lost and I am not debating this.” I treat it like they’re saying the Earth is flat. If you try to appeal to any source of real information or argument, you have immediately made their stance something worth considering. It needs to be100% unequivocally dismissed without thought
We don’t need to prove anything, the burden of proof is on them. And they have failed to provide even a modicum of evidence after all these years.
You can get most of them in tears with a few sentences pointing out their own failings in life as the primary reason they joined such a stupid political cult.
Sweet Jesus, Everett. Can I post this to c/BestOfLemmy?
Actually if you don’t mind, maybe don’t post it. I don’t wanna invite people looking for a bone to pick lol
Hahaha, ok I won’t.
And it was really the second paragraph I wanted to post. You’re right, the first part could be fiction, but it feels quite real right now, which is why I liked it as well. But the second part is undeniable. Challenge them anywhere and everywhere; on everything, on all their lies. Turn their world upsidedown, tear asunder their illusions, send the sanctuary of their ignorance crashing down around them.
Anyway, hard agree, no post to BestOf, best bullying wishes to you, may your references quickly spring to mind during your future arguments.
If you wanna just steal that part and post it somewhere for some reason without my name go for it. I’m not worried about credit anything
Gotcha. Cheers!
Thanks for understanding! I have been doxxed before so I just try to be a little cautious
I highly doubt it counts As it’s just a bunch of chest pounding from someone online who could totally be making all of this up but hey man, feel free lol
Just to be clear, your position is that your parents deserve to be bullied because they want healthier foods in schools? If RFK Jr does improve food in schools, will you apologize to them? You also do see a difference between the methods Michelle Obama used and those RFK Jr are using now, right?
You shouldnt take your anger out on your parents, IMO.
I didn’t get angry. I was assertive and forceful with my opinions. Just like I’ve had to endure for the past decade while I had to be the polite person letting conservatives whine and complain and yell about Biden, trans athletes and bathrooms, “cities burning,” you name it.
There is no way you can read what I said and see it as “I picked on my parent for wanting healthier food in schools.“ That is such a dishonest reading of what I wrote that I don’t want to continue this conversation further. Come back when you knock off the disingenuous Internet argument tropes.
Well, unfortunately I see pettiness in your post, not bravery. But keep on fighting the good fight.
I didn’t say I was brave. I said I’m fed up. I’m done coddling adults who voted to subjugate people.
Your smug attitude sure isn’t helping anyone.
Shut up, scum
No wonder you’re tagged as “Nazi” on my end
You know which group was great at labelling and ostracizing people? Maybe we are both Nazis, who’s to tell.
I’m old enough to remember when the advice people gave to deal with a bully was “Beat their ass and they’ll stop.”
But bullies somehow changed the narrative to where fighting back was wrong. It’s not. Self defense is never wrong. The only people that argue this are bullies.
Some people only speak the language of violence, and if you want them to understand your reply it must be delivered in a way they understand.
Bullies do not self correct their behavior. They find it rewarding and it continues until they are stopped.
But bullies somehow changed the narrative to where fighting back was wrong.
I grew up in the age of zero tolerance policies in school which meant you would get suspended for fighting back no matter the circumstances. I blame those policies for the shift.
Same motherfucker policy was responsible for getting me suspended when I fought back against a bully he hit me from behind knocking me down.
But I remember in middle school had a bully kept picking at me. My dad said the next time he did it to beat the shit out of him. So he was flicking my ear during study hall. So I threw his ass down the blenchers and then beat the fuck of him.
He never messed with me, nor did any other bullies. And I am no fighter and wasn’t strong. I found over the years most bullies are just weak ass pussies and that break down if you give any resistance.
Very similar story here when moving somewhere while ESL. Got singled out on the first day and it’s like I had a bully magnet on my back. I was so confused, because this had never happened to me before. I’m actually thankful to the one but kid who shoved me, because I lost it on him (I think I took out my culture shock on him lol).
Anyway I wasn’t big enough to cause any real damage. I was a slight little guy, even for my age, but I guess trying my best to tear this kid’s ear off made an impression, because I never ever got bullied again.
Actually I remember bullies standing up for me, which I’m sure could have been a whole different career path if I was interested in acquiring henchmen rofffl.
Well guess we are thankful you didn’t go down the villain path.
Same here with dad. I handled my shit in the 4th grade a single time. Bullies at my school remembered and I got left alone. I got suspended and dad got me ice cream because I was standing up for myself.
Several years later some bullies from another school who didn’t know me tried pulling some shit in the wrong place. Not school grounds so there were no policies stopping us. I had just turned old enough to drive. A group of them tried their luck and started talking shit. So I pulled out my tire tool and started swinging. I didn’t hit anyone. I just came out looking crazy and they went on their way.
This will not be everyone’s experience, but in mine you just have to look insane enough that no one doubts you’ll try to maim them.
My dad got me ice cream too. He was proud of me. And no at that school bully me again. Just had to teach that same lesson at each new school.
It is amazing the sort of strength and force months or years of repressed rage can unleash on someone who deserves it.
I really hope that the Trump Regime is made from that bullying cloth. As a weak person who wants to oppose the regime, I would like to walk away more or less intact.
Still, one has to do what must be done. Bullies would take passivity as a license to abuse.
Yeah our millennial era zero tolerance horseshit was such garbage. I saw kids get suspended because they got punched. That kinda injustice was asking for kids to snap, when in reality kids should have been given a firm handshake for defending themselves.
Anyone who did school from 2005-2015ish remembers some variation of “tell a teacher, don’t fight them back” etc. 199% responsible for this shitty version of society where self defense is basically not a concept any more.
In the age of zero tolerance, my son discovered that the school security will respond to fights, but not punches.
He had someone bullying him in high school, making fun of him for having a big nose. Told the guy he was done, and didn’t want to hear it anymore, and said if he said one more thing, there’d be trouble.
The guy opened his mouth again, my son stood up, punched him in the face, and sat back down. There was a security guard walking by at the time, and he saw it, and just kept walking.
I’ve felt my son’s punches in karate class, so my first reaction when he told me about it was to ask if I should prepare for a visit from the police, but he said he pulled the punch.
No one ever said anything about his nose again.
It amazed me that anyone would ever consider bullying him. 6’5" tall, solid muscle, about 12 years of Karate classes. It seemed like bullying him would be obviously suicidal, but he is a good kid who didn’t want to hurt anyone, so bullies irrationally thought he was an easy target.
I think you’re right. I grew up right before that… got bullied a lot until about 6th grade. Got into fights at the bus stop probably once every two weeks or so. Got beat up pretty bad when we had deep snow one time.
Once I got home, I got a knife and a bat and went over to his house where he was outside with a neighbor. I chased that SOB around with a steak knife and a bat until he ran out of breath… didn’t hit him when he started crying and begging me not to hurt him; but I sure instilled the fear of god in him.
He’s a Baltimore city police officer last I heard.
He’s a Baltimore city police officer last I heard.
That tracks.
“STOP RESISTING”
Did the bully look like this and hang out with kids that look like Dragon Ball Z characters?
That policy lead to a LOT of abuse from the staff at my sped-ed school as-well. “You looked at me funny? Calls timeout staff to drag you by each of your limbs to the carpeted room”
My high school in the latter half of the 90’s tried zero tolerance… briefly. Fighting got worse under the policy, cuz us kids figured if we’re gonna catch a suspension, might as well earn it.
And the people responsible for that were thr columbine shooters, who were actually remarkably aggressive bullies themselves and not the victims people make them out to be.
Actually, there was a zero tolerance policy in my middle school several years before Columbine.
Nah I was in school before Columbine and we had zero tolerance policies also.
I’m old enough to remember when the advice people gave to deal with a bully was “Beat their ass and they’ll stop.”
Our method was to covertly fuck with them.
They were bigger and could beat the shit out of us, but once we learned the location of their locker in gym class, they often left gym selling of various old lady perfumes.
They dominated the kickball field - sneak into the supply closet and slash the kickballs.
We’d turn our papers in at the teachers desk as we left for lunch. Sneak back in later when the teacher is away and steal the bully papers.
The beauty is they feel like the world is out for them. They either lash out and fuck up big time or fall in line.
They never should have stopped calling them “weird.”
Yeah, no kidding. It was Walz’s winning strategy until the corpos told him to cool it. They’d already decided it was trump’s time to win
That was so mild too. Call them creepy shrimp dick loners. Make them look deeply unsettling and unhinged and inhumane and illogical little unlikeable creeps they are and isolate them. Use whatever sticks. Their top guy is a proven rapist and was best buds with pedophiles. Keep hammering that!
Taking the higher moral stand doesn’t work with these people; grab them by their fucking hair and drag them through the mud kicking and screaming. Do you wanna win and maybe slow this country’s descent into full on fascism or do you want to “not stoop to their level” and “uphold decorum” with words? Because what’s coming is going to be much more unkind than words.
That is the only way to handle these types. Time to grow some ovaries and start calling these pieces of filth what they are.
The great thing about “weird” is that it’s not really aggressive but more disgust. Like, if some guy says women are inferior you can say “that’s freaking weird dude” and leave it at that.
Mostly cause they’ve never stopped being weird. We are governed by some weird fucking people.
It seems that internal polling put the “weird” message as not really helping (or hurting) the Harris campaign. Arguably, keeping up the “weird” message may have been useful, but they were likely trying to find something that seemed to have a larger impact.
“they”
Just gonna leave this here.
I had a theory during Covid that if I would be able to embarass the shit out of anti-vaxers on Nextdoor, that they’d stop showing up and spreading bad info. I never got to check / test / confirm any results to what I was (completely unscientifically) doing; but this is a great article to make me feel like I am getting a pat on the back.
Let’s adopt this as a manual…
If you don’t fight from a losing position, what incentive does anyone have to put you to win a winning when it is voting time? Counting on the Trump admin being awful enough for people to vote Dem is way too risky. Fight and inspire. Build collation and prepare to rebuild a new vision. You can’t just offer return to neoliberal politics is not the answer either. You’ll just restart the cycle over again for the next Trump.
I’ve said this for a while now. You want to make a dent? You go after the ego.
Picture this: an endless stream of totally “realistic” phone-recorded AI videos of Trump playing golf. He lines up the putt—misses. Tries again—air ball. It’s literally an inch away now—misses again. Doesn’t blink, just traps it in, smirks, walks off like he nailed it. Over and over.
The key is subtlety. These can’t look staged or flashy—make them feel like someone’s nephew filmed it from the cart. Make it look like he’s genuinely terrible but thinks he’s crushing it.
Then blast them everywhere. Flood the algorithm. Turn his “I’m the best at golf” schtick into a punchline.
This is how you use AI to actually take Trump down—with a thousand tiny ego papercuts.
Sprinkle some tacos in there and you’re good to go!
“If you push me, I am going to hit you with a Buick.”
I’ve lost “friends” over this philosophy, but the friends I’ve gained since taking on the philosophy feel a lot more real.
Likewise, if you’re being bullied, destroy the bully and the bullying will stop.
I never cease to be amazed at the “if you don’t treat bullies with respect you are the baddie” discourse in the US. It’s been the MO in schools for about 80 years and has become the standard operating procedure for many adults. Protecting yourself and others from bullies is an ethical imperative. As is supporting others who have defended themselves or others are being further victimized as a result. Bullies (and the people/systems that support them) lack empathy, compassion, reason, and accountability and are only happy when they feel powerful, which they achieve by harming anyone they think they can get away with. The only language they understand is force and any other tactic is as useful as yelling at a brick wall.
100% - Cheers!
Colonel Graff:
Tell me why you kept on kicking him. You had already won.
Ender Wiggin:
Knocking him down won the first fight. I wanted to win all the next ones, too. So they’d leave me alone.
This is Trump’s strategy too. Make a brutal enough example of a few universities, or law firms, or immigrants, or other countries’ economies, and the rest will comply in advance. Like Trump said in his West Point commencement speech recently: "As much as you wanna fight, I’d rather do it without having to fight. I just wanna look at them and have them fold.”
Reminder: Ender Wiggin is not a fucking hero.
There is a Buick still in the road in 2025?
A prediction: Walz might be the George Washington of the Founding Parents for a Free States of America. Unlike most of our leftish politicians, he has some military experience and seems inclined to fisticuffs. Maybe Mark Kelly as well.
We are going to need that sort of person, who is willing to lead and fight by example.
We need people who do not care if they piss off the wealthy. People willing to forcefully and lawfully remove money from politics. People willing to challenge their own party members and even party leaders.
Primary every federal office in every election until the comfy incumbent lives in fear.
He’s right. Only effective strategy against a bully is to fight back.
Dear libs, please listen to your people who know how to stand up to bullies.

If you become road kill you’ll then have RFK after ya so take this warning seriously.
If one of them says, “Well Harris was/would be worse!”, explain the concept of Schodinger’s Cat to them; in a universe where Harris was never President, you can’t say shit about what she would have done.
Also… Harris just wouldn’t be worse? Not by any stretch of the what-in-the-laughable-but-dangerous-stupidity-is-this.
What they really objected to, a black woman.
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Tried that, doesn’t phase them. So use quantum mechanics and make them feel extra stupid.
Nah, they don’t want to become a target. They’ll wait until it blows up on the streets, then point and say ‘see?’. Meanwhile, the public is waiting for the congressmen to do something. It’s something to watch.
DAMMIT! We WERE going to have Him RUN for President but now we need to Find Someone ELSE! Is Charlie Kirk’s pal GAVIN NEWSOM around?
-The DNC LITERALLY!
