It’s totally cool if not, but do you have any tips for an American learning Chinese? I’m just starting to get the hang of tones on certain Mandarin characters

I recently read some of the book “Chinese Revolution of 1945-49” by Michael Lynch (I believe, not sure tho) and the shit I learned about ROC/KMT was SOOO bad, like they were funded by Hitler (before he allied w Japan)to kill Communists and when they fled to Taiwan they killed several thousand indigenous Taiwanese people who weren’t serving any threat to them whatsoever. I didn’t even read the full thing yet so I still have more horrors to discover

I’m not doubting you, just a bit confused. Can you expand on what you mean when you say the left (presumably in Germany) are “simping the USA”? I ask specifically because as dumb as it sounds, I, an American, love keeping up with German leftist politics and all the crazy drama that surrounds it

I was VERY skeptical of watching this video when it was suggested to me, is it worth watching bc I absolutely will if it’s even slightly more based than expected. I was anticipating stuff like “actually he didn’t give a shit about communism, he was a sTaLiniSt” but lmk if it’s actually cool. After reading Anarchism or Socialism, I have ZERO patience for anyone disrespecting Stalin.
