You are correct but people in general are pretty bad at subtly and grey area. Just look at the current state of political discourse in the US. Probably half the people that support the likes of Trump do so because they like black/white binary choice and can’t handle shades of grey in their life emotionally.

Dumb marketing speak aside, the general thrust of just turning Xbox into a brand for Microsoft games Studios to release games on Windows and maybe other platforms one day doesn’t seem like all that bad of an idea to me.

I want more easy access to more open and flexible platforms in my everyday life, not less. If the traditional console has to go away for us to get the proliferation of “PC games” as the default in ways the average person can easily use that seems like a win for the gaming market overall.

The Democrats need to learn that they need someone that doesn’t come off like a “party person” if they want to attract voters. Kamala could have had that, but her refusal to burn Biden for his failures in office while on the campaign trail the last time did a lot of harm to her chances of ever escaping that image to the average swing voter. She is no more electable to the Presidency now than Hillary Clinton.

I’m pretty sure most offensively rich people in this country, and possibly other countries, were much closer to Epstein than we initially realized at this point.

Until someone starts to hold them to account then it is just a suggestion.

If anyone is held accountable, it will be the person that ultimately pressed the buttons and/or their direct superior.

This can’t be that shocking to the news media and “analysts”. Kids have been practically railroaded into getting at least a BS for decades, a lot of the time to the tune of 10s of thousands of dollars in debt if not more. Now that nearly everyone entering the work place has one it is not the selling point to employers that it was once. Supply and demand and all that.

And that’s before you even get into the usefulness of so much of the coursework in a lot of these degree programs. I only have an associates degree and probably half of the program was unrelated to the stated purpose of the degree. I can’t imagine how much junk is required for a 4 year or more in the name of being a well rounded person.

Maybe, just maybe, everyone is starting to wake up to just how self serving the college industry has become.

The suffering is the point. I don’t think they actually want it to stop.

I like AOC and agree with her on a lot. And I really would like to see how she would handle it. But as a straight white guy in his 40’s that honestly wants to see things get better for everyone I also dread the tidal wave of dog whistle reasons the GOP will bring out for why she is unfit.

I know that is the point, but the constant avalanche of ignorant talking points that hearken back to “the good ole days” when men were men, women were arm candy, and brown people shared a corner on the floor with the family dog in these peoples minds that they disguise as honest engagement with a legitimate issue in the country is starting to burn me out.

Could, but very unlikely they actually will.

Not many cops are going to go around arresting ICE agents for such things I don’t imagine.

The only reason Trump cares about the shutdown is because his people are telling him he will be blamed the worse it gets.

Yep, for these things to matter there has to be no end in sight until those that want the change get heard and taken seriously.

Bonus points if they are headed up by sympathetic and visible politicians and/or other public figures. A well spoken orator in the vein of MLK at a podium giving a loud united voice to these sorts of movements are what creates something non-violent that is really hard for those in power or those on the side lines that would otherwise support the movement to sweep it under the rug as a one off.
