During the pandemic, bolsonaro was catering to antivax and his whole family was pretending they werent getting vaccinated. But a leaked facebook post by his sons wife showed her mocking antivaxers, saying she was vaccinating her daughter… Theyre just playing the roles they were assigned to in public.
Use the first version with personal relationships. Dont let paranoia ruin your social circle.
With politics, assume the worst.

2·2 months agoNo no. I was calling the logic bullshit. The reasoning was bad, not the conclusion. Learn to interpret text.

4·2 months agoThey do, i know. Theyre not certain. The consequences depend on lots of factors. To disqualify someone because they used drugs without looking more into how it affected that specific person is fatalist bullshit.

Everybody has issues they need to work on, if you can talk openly about those “red flagish” issues, maybe its not that hard to be around you…

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•should I go back to my old job now that several people, some of them more knowledgeable than me have told me they don't understand my decision to quit it?
0·3 months agoMy point was just that if most people value A over B, while you value B more, people will say youre stupid when they see you getting B instead of A all the time.
They will think youre trying to get A and failing.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•should I go back to my old job now that several people, some of them more knowledgeable than me have told me they don't understand my decision to quit it?
0·3 months agoI dont know what these jobs are like. If you have less stress in your current job, thats an important point, but maybe not a decisive factor… Have you asked those “smarter” people why they think thats a bad decision?
It may be that people are bothered by seeing someone take decisions differently than they do, they might feel their own decisions being implicitly questioned, so they might be reacting in a way that reaffirms their own values.
If you ask them to express what is stupid about you decision you may get a better feeling for if they actually have a point or if theyre just reacting badly out of their personal insecurities or smthing.
Maybe they also want a less stressful job, but dont have the courage to face the loss in prestige/status/money, even if that woukd grant them better quality of life. Who knows…
The first? I dont know… They all look weird since the finger axes dont intersect properly.
Loved this one. Deliciously painful to watch.
Ive been watching the brazilian version of The Office. Its pretty good. Very short though. Its called “Os Aspones”, and takes place in a forgotten governemntal department.
Its correct according to a convention. Just as any correctness is defined.
