Wonder if she is still telling her children the whole thing of Charlie being on a business trip with a man named Jesus in the sky. Apparently “he’s to busy to come home”

The MAGAs are done with Trump, they don’t want a 3rd term. He did his job and got MAGA into power, now it’s time to toss the Useful Idiot aside, and get down to the job of real oppression.

The good news is that there are all sorts of right wing whack jobs who feel like America can’t survive without them, and nobody else, in charge, so the MAGA primary is going to be an even bigger circus than usual, with all of them trying to out-extreme each other. I would not be surprised at all to see some candidates advocating for work camps for their political enemies.

He’d still be elected in a way that could be contested, whereas the speaker of the house doesn’t have to be a member of congress. So the method we expect is Vance/Some Asshole and then they both resign after swearing in, making Trump president again. Although this looks less and less likely as Republicans splinter.

Can you explain? I thought the amendment thing said he just can’t be elected president. Or does it say he can’t be elected vice president too?

if you are ineligible to be president you cannot be “in line” to be president such as a vp.

Why wouldn’t he be eligible? The wording of your amendment specifically says “shall not be elected” clearly that means that becoming president by other means is fine, otherwise it would have said “may not serve as president” or just may not be president.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

because one, if elected as vp, and needing to become p is, by some odd logic considered “elected.”

                it’s why voting is important.

But it doesn’t say he can’t be elected as vice president, only he can’t be elected president. By being elected as VP he’s not being elected president.

You’ve just said it can’t happen, not explained what would actually stop it happening.

His people will just “interpret” what the corpse means, much as they currently “interpret” what he means after one of his verbal diarhhea’s. The orange cunt can’t speak normal English anyway, and half the country has been sane washing him for years. Nothing would change if he wasn’t actually wasting oxygen by breathing.

We are almost 3 years away from the election. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone, republican or democrat, say they endorse a candidate other than her.

You say that as if it’s unlikely, a lot of these bigger front end conservative orgs are basically held up by a handful of major figures. Also they tend to be shit when it comes to finances see the Daily Wire and all their failed attempts at basically anything that isn’t a talk show. TPUSA is replaceable just like the rest, they’ll collapse and some other shitstain organization will fill its place sooner or later.

        Unfortunately, not true.

the analysis offered in this Article indicates three things: (1) America’s voters can legally place that person in the vice-presidency; (2) that person can later succeed from that office to the presidency; and (3) if such a succession occurs, no cap on the duration of resulting presidential service will inhibit that person from serving out the full remainder of the term.

Twelfth amendment is pretty clear. VP must be constitutionally eligible for the presidency to run for VP. Which after the 22nd says no already two term/10 year presidents allowed. Regardless of what this opinion says.

He could run for the House, win, be voted Speaker (assuming Republicans maintain majority), then both President and VP would need to resign/die. Even this method, Trump wouldn’t be President for at least like 30 days. And Trump running for the House while currently President would surely give away the plan.

No, that’s not quite how it works:

            • the Presidential Succession act states that anyone in the line of succession must also be eligible to be President, otherwise they are skipped. There have been non-native-born Cabinet secretaries who were not in the line of succession for that reason.

            • there is no 30 day waiting period, although the act states that anyone who has to become President due to this must resign their current position in government before becoming President

            • that person would gain the title of “Acting President”. The act doesn’t really explain what the difference is between “President” and “Acting President”.

            • None of this matters because Donald Trump does whatever the fuck he wants, without consequences, somehow.

There is no way, if he became president, that JD would resign for anyone. He is worshipping Trumo because he likes him, but for the power. If he already had the power, DJT would be sidelined tout suite.

Trump probably just try some stupid national emergency or alignment with Xi hostile takeover of Taiwan. Says fuck it whose pulling me out of here, dude down to his last set of diapers, got nothing to lose practically. Alternative is a blue wave, democracy encroached, they’ll abuse all the same powers now that the boundary has been pushed and we will see the same shit show clown nonsense with Newsom.

Regardless if they’re justified or not or party X is worse, rule by executive order and backlash (absolutely) against political appointments (some deserving, some not). But the next wave of democracy’s walls have been broached and libs refuse to give power back to the people instead serving their corporate overlords vs billionaire overlords.

I see very good, small local initiatives, online and offline, but not the grass roots building into an unstoppable momentum that we actually need to build better societies.
