Lawmakers in Florida are raising alarm over documents suggesting immigrant children and pregnant women could be detained at ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’

A draft operational plan obtained by the Miami Herald suggests minors could indeed be transported to the controversial site in the Everglades. The 35-page undated document details protocols to “separate minors from unrelated adults” and to provide “snacks and water” to minors, pregnant women and detainees with medical conditions during transport.

“The State of Florida is planning to send pregnant women and children to the ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ detention camp,” wrote State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith on social media. “This is totally un-American. We cannot be silent.”

Its been a wild trip watching all the liberals reveal that they are spiteful pathetic spineless racist assholes after Kamala tried and failed to win on a campaign of conservative pro genocide and border militarization.

Like sorry what’s your problem with fascism exactly? It clearly isn’t the genocide or racism. Or is racism towards minority groups you are not a part of fine in your eyes? Is genocide justified against a community due to the actions of any members of that community? Is the murder of children? Are you generally pro ethnic cleansing?

The problem is dipshits like you. Liberals have finally been dragged to your level and it scares shitheads like you because we are always supposed to turn to other cheek while you act like entitled monkeys flinging shit.

No. We are done forgiving. We are doing being nice. And if you can’t accept cruelty now being flung your way, well then tough shit.

I’ll ask again, if youre pro genocide and pro racism then what is your problem with fascism? They are also pro both of those things. I dont see why you didnt vote for it yourself if you are that ideologically aligned with them.

Liberals are the furthest thing from scary. You’re just fascisms little helpers. The best you guys got is stalling. Push comes to shove you’d all bow down to fascism rather than risk your lives to fight against it. I’m not afraid of lap dogs.

Not the OP, but I think your comments are being interpreted as allegations of OP’s positions on things that are based on assumptions you’ve made based on the original comment, but aren’t necessarily based on the contents itself.

Calling someone a spiteful, spineless, pathetic racist isn’t exactly a fabulous way to begin a meaningful engagement. Instead, you’re both talking past one another because you’re not operating from any sort of common basis.

No they didn’t. You just posted a made up a number and did it in the service of dehumanizing a minority population. And the people getting deported (at least now) didn’t vote for anyone, they aren’t citizens.

This comment is sus as hell. Exactly something a right winger would post to cause mistrust in opposition groups. And even if it isn’t, you need to learn some media literacy if you’re just parroting an obviously fake percentage like that.

Nobody deserves this. These people were suckered by a conman who has decades of experience conning people. That doesn’t warrant a death sentence or even imprisonment.

If a successful coalition is to be formed, it has to be made up of former Trump voters. We won’t have the numbers otherwise.

This is true, but at the same time those voting for him need to be smarter than a rock come voting season. It’s hard to have empathy for those crying about how Trump has wrecked their lives after they so shamelessly/stupidly supported him.

“Empathy” is what the right completely lacks, and it’s what Democrats have begun abandoning because it’s not in vogue. However, empathy is the one thing that helps us unite across boundaries that the right tries to convince us are unsurpassable. Empathy is what makes us strong.

I get that being angry is easier than being productive, but we really need to be productive right now, and writing off large groups of people because of their perceived failings is not helping.

Most of the people being sent to these camps are going to be undocumented, so they couldn’t have voted in the election if they tried.

Well… for one, empathy tells me that whoever ends up there after having voted for this, this is ok. Sute, it is cruel, now how about empathy for those people who did not want this and will still end up there? How about empathy to people who happened to be around those idiots who wanted this and got shitload of crappy attitude and worse from them? Or does anyone think for those millions supporting these atrocities - this very support is the only ugly thing they ever did and ever will do?

the stats exist, you can check them instead of making shit up; the Latine vote was pretty close, but they still voted more for harris globally, tho i believe Latino men in particular voted ever so slightly more for trump

the only racial group who overwhelmingly voted trump, across men and women, and this is gonna SHOCK you!!, are whites.

whites voted for this; when are we rounding them up in concentration camps? when are we deporting them to europe?

Fuck off with this racist revanchism.

These are people who are ripe for radicalization against the regime, and we need everyone we can get.

As a black man here who has watched black people time and time again advocate, fight, and push for Latino rights and representation; knowing at the end of the day, many Latinos wanted to be white so badly that becoming a “pick me” with their vote was more important than unity made me come to this conclusion:

        “Bye Felicia.”

First off I don’t know where you got 70% from, but from what I see a majority voted for Harris. It was close (because support for the Democratic candidate fell and because participation fell) so Trump got 48% of their vote, but that’s all it was. Close.

Second, to complicate this further, 41% didn’t vote.

Third, leaving aside the fact that your grievances aren’t based in reality; your revanchism is basically making you side with the Republicans in their ethnic cleansing campaign. Your position is making you indistinguishable from any Republican.

What we need to be doing is building a broad coalition of resistance against the regime, not trying to use the regime to settle grievances. If we don’t unite oppressed members of society against Trump he’s just going to pick us off one by one. Divide and conquer.

            You may have a point.

I should be directly my ire at white women knowing the broodmares conservatives are going to make them and they still majority went for him.

From the source I posted, white women still only favored Trump by a 4-point margin. Is that enough to write them all off?

Yeah, at this point I have zero sympathy for anyone who voted for them. You find yourself without health insurance, a home, being deported, having your workers deported? Welcome to the find out phase of FAaFO.
