Gerrymandering is a time honored electoral tradition for Republicans.
It’s the system working as conservatives intended.

The letters are just the latest embarrassment in an embarrassing agenda, and I’m kinda surprised they’re still playing this dumb game.
I may well regret saying this but it doesn’t really seem like there’s been much in the way of consequences to the US economy. None that anyone seems to care about anyway.
This is precisely the outcome that every republican wants.
Being mean to poor people, especially if they look different.
He’s completely unable to read the room. Understandable really, he doesn’t exist in the same world as the rest of us really.
So… the rest of us aren’t perfect but IDK if id say “humanity” has failed. America certainly seems that way.
Eugenics in America predates the third Reich.
Trump is attacking everything and everyone is either helping him or ignoring him.
Sure ok but that’s pretty meaningless at this juncture.
Rigged machines aren’t going to save us
Reminds me of this time last year when Trump was on trial for a half dozen things.
Everyone was all like “ooh it would be so undemocratic to try someone while they’re campaigning”.
Meanwhile republicans can just uncitizen anyone they don’t like.
You can’t win if no one is playing by the rules.
That’s a pretty thin connection. If that’s the requirement, more or less everything political.
There is no law banning dog walking, therefore any discussion about dogs is political!
We won the lottery on this. Had twins, 1 boy 1 girl at birth. They’re too young to know if they’re gonna be friends, enemies, (probably both?)
Sure so maybe /c/regulatorybodies then.
What does this have to do with politics?
Musk is a train wreck that was briefly engaged in destroying the public service in the US. That doesn’t mean that everything tangentially associated any company associated with him is politics.
Yeah. There’s a correlation vs causation problem here that I don’t really have the answers to.
In other words I think that’s reductive.
Hillary was Hillary and didn’t take Trump seriously.
Kamala was run without much planning and forethought.
AOC might be a woman, and I take your point that may not be in her favor, but she has many virtues that may outweigh that disadvantage.
I think we need to wait and see how things shake out. If she can demonstrate broad based support then why not run her.
If it’s only lefties who love her, then she’s not the right choice.
It’s hyperbolic, as headlines always are.
Trump “completely loses it” all the time because he seems to have complete undying loyalty from everyone around him. There are no negative consequences for these outbursts.
Oh man are you me?
Shopping is not a pleasant experience for us. The millions of products trying to attract my attention, the people I don’t want to talk to. It’s a hostile environment.
I always managed it by zooming through getting everything on my list in the right route.
My partner just doesn’t work that way. Hither and thither and lots of “just browsing” in between.
Do you approve or disapprove over making everything extra terrible all the time? 38% Approve || 43% Disapprove || 19% Unsure
Yeah I can’t remember the reasoning / evidence but I do remember reading that Cleopatra was unlikely to have been beautiful or “sexy”. IIRC it’s indeed because she was likely to have congenital deformities due to inbreeding - much like those of Tutankhamen.
She was extraordinary powerful, well educated, and had a terrifying intellect. Additionally she would have bathed daily which would have been alluring in that era.
That said, there’s no shortage of other powerful Egyptian babes, Nefertiti and Hatshepsut come to mind.
Edit: Plutarch the Roman historian said something diplomatic like physical beauty is not her most striking feature. Which, when talking about a ruler, is saying she’s ugly.
You can see from Trump and Bondi’s comments that they’ve already identified several back down positions.
Presently, they’re just undermining the credibility of any documents they have.
Later if it doesn’t clear up they’ll just release a few vanilla bits, that say say are credible, which might include some incendiary names, but Trump will obviously be clean.
They will use that circus to undermine the credibility of the whole thing, it’s a democrat invention et cetera.
