Judging from the transcript, they are specifically talking about a fatal stabbing on a bus in Charlotte.
They’ve jumped all over this because:
- It’s a stabbing so they don’t have to worry about the gun control debate
- The city had a Democrat mayor and NC has a Democrat governor they can pretend made the stabbing happen to villify the Democrats
Bonus points, they threw Thom Tillis ® under the bus, because he actually said that maybe sometimes he didn’t fully agree with Trump.
