That’s the first danger I thought of with masked plainclothes (secret) police who don’t identify themselves. Human traffickers can put on the same getup and kidnap someone in broad daylight and people would assume they are law enforcement.

When this is over I will personally punch whichever democrats decides to pardon them all or refuse to prosecute them or even fire them to “heal the nation”.

Every single ICE agent belongs behind bars

In Cyberpunk, the NCPD is basically just another gang. More organized than the Valentinos or Tiger Claws, but pretty much the same by the end of the day.

In real life though, ICE seems to be a lot like a gang too. Have they pivoted to drugs and violent extortion yet? You know, if you smuggle guns and slaves, you can make a lot of money?

There’s no way ICE hasn’t been involved in illegal drug smuggling for decades. It doesn’t work without corrupt people in those kinds of positions. DEA and CBP as well.

In my state we have the right to defend our property and that includes vehicles. So, let them try to fuck with me or my wife and see what happens. We’re homos and armed to the teeth.

DHS has argued that agents still identify themselves while masked: “When our heroic law enforcement officers conduct operations, they clearly identify themselves as law enforcement while wearing masks to protect themselves from being targeted by highly sophisticated gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13, criminal rings, murderers, and rapists,” assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a September statement.

If this were true, every judge, police officer and prosecutor would be dead. So no, they do not need to hide their faces. We all know why they are really hiding their faces.

    Release the files.

The FBI only put a bulletin warning that masked individuals might be pretending to be government agents, just now? After nine months of terrorism? How is this not seen as authoritarian move? This is like with any full blown authoritarian states where the dear leader says something vague tantamount to directing a purge. And when enough people were purged, the dear leader would then say that his goons had gone too far from his original intent and order them to stop. This is not the first time America did something similar; the red scare and the McCarthy’s communist witch hunts went on long enough to tarnish people’s reputation, before Harry Truman made a speech calling out what is happening as unfair to people whose reputations were ruined. The powers-that-be know what the heck their doing and the last minute “call to sanity” is to white wash their deliberate intentions.

Yeah, as everyone knew would happen when the cowards began hiding their identities and acting like a secret police on amfetamins.

Criminals posing as US immigration officers have carried out robberies, kidnappings, and sexual assaults in several states,

I’d need to see some exceptionally compelling evidence to be convinced they weren’t actually just ICE officers doing this.

    And later in the story…

A senior ICE official tells WIRED: “Anyone caught impersonating themselves as a federal immigration agent will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Impersonating a federal immigration officer endangers public safety and erodes trust in law enforcement.”

Only the bootliquors still have any trust remaining. Fucking trust. Lol

But then Nana will know they raised a little failure of a fasciat and their immigrant wives won’t make them pancakes.
