I think one thing about history we don’t get is how incredibly stupid fascist are. They are hateful and bigoted. At the core of it they are scared little boys that never grew up. They live in a privileged position they don’t deserve and are insecure about it. That fear and insecurity is what leads them to the comfort of Fascism. It makes them feel strong when they are weak. It makes them feel smart when they are dumb. Once they control the state it’s quite obvious how worried they are.
